In 2026,  Interstedelijk Studenten Overleg,  in collaboration with the Comenius Netwerk, is organizing the twelfth edition of the national Teacher of the Year election.

The aim of this election is to highlight inspiring and excellent teaching in higher education. This year, special attention is given to the theme of innovation within the field of teaching.

The finalists will give short, accessible lectures in an inspiring and enthusiastic manner on stage, providing insights into their respective fields.

The audience traditionally includes, among others, the Minister of Education, who will present the award to the winner. Additionally, students, colleagues of the teachers, and other supporters are wholeheartedly welcomed.
